University Teaching
My teaching draw from my early professional experience as a K-12 teacher in public schools, where I formed the foundation of my professional identity. My pedagogical approach is defined by an infectious enthusiasm and a commitment to different forms of learning, often extending beyond the classroom through field trips to New York City’s cultural institutions and dialogues with guest speakers. I curate a diverse array of interesting course materials—ranging from legal decisions and newspaper articles to podcasts and film—to spark rigorous, open debate and invite a multitude of viewpoints. As a first-generation college graduate, I have deep appreciation for the transformative power of higher education and the unique journeys of my students, which is why I am so dedicated to mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students as they navigate their own paths.
